Love Or God

Love or God...
what a decision.
Tis one I hate
and yet must make.
Of course my choice is God
but at what loss?
Tis the loss of my love
and my heart.

Decisions of such import
They ravage one's soul
and heart to such extents.
Yet they must be made
when God and the object of love
doth not agree.

And so my heart doth pine
for bittersweet love
of a man I cannot have.
So I bid Adieu to my love
and hello again to my God.
