God's Timing

Ever notice how God's timing is perfect?
How it takes letting go...
of a past...
a memory...
a pain in the heart...
for Him to bring in the gift of a lifetime?

I tried to hold on...
to the pain of heartbreak...
and it tried to destroy me...
but I finally let go...
And He brought the healing...
I had longed for...
Though not quite how I wanted it...
But I'm glad He did.
Because now...
The pain,
The loss,
The heartache,
Was washed away...
By God...
And by the man He brought into my life.
